Not quite up there with making them from scratch, but also way lower in calories and sugar. My job requires that I keep my weight down, so I have been watching my carbs for years. These margaritas make it a lot easier to indulge without completely blowing my diet. Heck, this makes margaritas with fewer calories than light beer and taste about as good as any. Being able to just make them in the bag and throw them in the freezer is also great, from a convenience standpoint. I've been buying this mix for a couple years now and sure hope they keep making it. Following the directions for measurements makes the margaritas way too strong. Also, these are not the same as making them with a blender/ margarita maker but when those things are not convenient (i.e. A Jimmy Buffett Tailgate), the work really well. |
